KATARZYNA IWON PhD Student

I am a PhD candidate at Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw and a graduate of Psychology at Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw. I also graduated with a master’s degree in management from SGH Warsaw School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Poznań University of Economics and Business. I also participated in an Erasmus program (University of Vigo) in economics.

Currently I am developing a project about video game violence’s effect on implicit hostile cognitions and aggression in inmates and community samples. My interests are related to hostility, processing of information, and stigmatization among different groups (e.g., inmates and people with experience of pregnancy termination – such as abortion and miscarriage). I am also very interested in cross-cultural psychology and how people in different countries perceive the world and how they behave.
